Hanging Basket Scheme 2008
Once again this year the Town Council will be funding a Special Offer on Filled Wicker Hanging Baskets & **Traditional ‘DIY’ Baskets. The offer will be: -
Ø One Free (identical type) Basket will be provided for every basket purchased from Bryn Euryn Nursery up to a maximum of 3 baskets. **Traditional DIY baskets will be supplied with 14” basket, plants, compost & moss for self assembly.
Ø Orders must be placed through the Town Council. Phone 01492 532248 for application form.
Ø Those ordering baskets will be sent a voucher and will collect their baskets from Bryn Euryn Nursery, Dinerth Road, Rhos on Sea.
Ø Baskets MUST BE paid for on collection. Cheques to be made payable to Conwy County Borough Council. The cost will be £11.25 +VAT = £13.22 per 16” Filled Wicker Basket & £13.75 +VAT = £16.16 per 14” Traditional ‘DIY’ Basket.
Ø Orders must be placed with the Town Council by 28th April 2008.
Ø Traders, Businesses, Hoteliers, Public Houses, Restaurants, Churches/Chapels all eligible.
CYSTADLEUAETH COLWYN YN EI BLODAU
Mae Cyngor Tref Bae Colwyn unwaith eto am drefnu’r Cystadleuaeth Flynyddol, Colwyn yn ei Blodau. Fe rennir y Gystadleuaeth i 7 dosbarth gwahanol fel a ganlyn:-
1. Adeiladau Masnachol
a) Adeiladau efo Gerddi
b) Adeiladau efo tybiau, dysglau planhigion a basgedi crog
2. Tai a Fflatiau preifat – Ffrynt yr adeilad
3. Gwestai a Lletyau i Ymwelwyr
4. Tafarndai a Bwytai
5. Cartrefi Gofal Nyrsio a Phreswyl
6. Llety Cysgodol a Chymdeithasau Tai.
7. Eglwysi a Chapeli
Y diwrnod olaf i gyflwyno ceisiadau yw 30/06/2008.
Mae Ffurflenni Cais i’w cael o Gyngor Tref Bae Colwyn, Neuadd y Dref, Rhiw Road, Bae Colwyn. Rhaid i bob cais fod o Ardal Cyngor Tref Bae Colwyn h.y. Bae Colwyn, Hen Golwyn & Llandrillo yn Rhos. Bydd y feirniadaeth yn cymryd lle tua diwedd Gorffennaf.
Bydd enillydd
pob dosbarth yn derbyn tlws a bydd y rhai a ddaw yn gyntaf, ail a thrydedd yn
derbyn tystysgrif. Fe gyflwynir y gwobrwyon hyn mewn Noson Gwobrwyo a gynhelir
ym mis Hydref pob blwyddyn.
COLWYN IN BLOOM COMPETITION
Once again the Bay of Colwyn Town Council is organising the Annual Colwyn in Bloom Competition. The Competition is divided into 7 different classes, which are as follows: -
1. Commercial Premises
a) Premises with Gardens
b) Premises with tubs, planters and hanging baskets
2. Private Houses and Flats – Frontages
3. Hotels and Guest Houses
4. Public Houses and Restaurants
5. Nursing and Residential Care Homes
6. Sheltered Accommodation and Housing Associations.
7. Churches and Chapels
The last date for entries to be submitted is the 30/06/2008.
Entry Forms are available from the Bay of Colwyn Town Council, Town Hall, Rhiw Road, Colwyn Bay. All entries must be from the Bay of Colwyn Town Council Area i.e. Colwyn Bay, Old Colwyn & Rhos on Sea. Judging will take place in late July.
The winners of each class will receive a trophy and those placed first, second and third will receive a certificate. These awards are made at a Presentation Evening, which is held in October of each year.
